Selling on eBay
Selling on EBay Raises Awareness
There are many facets to making money on line. Internet marketing is only one part. Obviously, you must get your product “out there” in order to raise awareness about its availability; but you must also sell enough to make a “profit.” To accomplish this, selling on eBay is one avenue you should consider.
You probably already know that eBay is one of the world’s largest online stores. Every day there are thousands of transactions on this site, which means that if you want to sell products, eBay could be a very profitable move. It is not complicated and can be done from the comfort of your home.
Do your homework – research is critical before listing a product.
You need to determine the following:
- Is there a viable market for your chosen product?
- How much can you realistically expect to sell?
- What kind of competition will you be facing? Minimal? Moderate? Fierce?
These are just some of the initial questions you should be able to answer before making a move.
Since we are not in the world of virtual business and your customers see, touch, or feel the product until they receive it, you must have a very effective product description, which can make all the difference in your level of success in selling a product.
The goal is to entice your potential customers to buy from you.
Include as much detail as possible – create a picture in their minds: size, weight, color, etc., and highlight all the features that make the product unique. Rather “stuffed animals,” be creative with your words: cuddly, adorable, handcrafted, and one-of-a-kind.
Descriptions should evoke emotions and a “must-have” mentality. When writing your descriptions, always listen to your words from the customer’s perspective. How will customers respond? What will convince them to buy your product?.
The first goal for all new eBay sellers is to establish yourself as a TRUSTED SELLER. Focus on delivering what you promise, customer satisfaction and getting positive feedback.
When all of that is taking place, the products should sell and the money will follow.
