They are short snippets consisting of a headline, short text message, visual URL, and a link to a landing page.
Advertisers create keyword centric advertisements and bid against others for best placement on search or content pages. The “best” placement isn’t always the top of the page. It just depends on the keyword, the advertisement and competition. Generally, you want to fall into one of the top 4 positions.
