Paid Traffic Strategies #4 – Google Ads Display Network
A Hidden Gem
Point #35
When people speak of Google ads they usually are referring to Google’s pay-per-click advertising – Google Ads Display Network.
The display advertising network allows all types of ads including text, images, video and interactive ads. These ads are placed on websites and not on search results pages.
You still use keyword targeted campaigns, but the ads are placed in front of people who are already browsing or reading about that niche.
Similar to PPC advertising, you can blow a lot of money on experimenting with the program. Do your homework so you can do it right. Google does offer a downloadable “how-to” manual and you can also call for a private consultation (-877-908-4179 (9am – 9pm ET, Mon – Fri).
- The text ad format is exactly the same as the PPC text ad including a headline, two lines of text (35 characters each), and a URL.
- Image ads allow you to include relevant images, customized layouts, and background colors.
- Rich media ads are image ads that have interactive elements or animations. Google provides you with templates and a slick ad builder tool for creating fast professional looking ads.
- Video ads include embedded videos.
