How to Get Good Email Open Rates
Point #11 – Good Email Open Rates
Is your series of fabulous emails ready to share with your subscribers?
No? Well, you are in luck because I am going to cover an important point in this post that can increase the chances that your emails will be opened and read.
On the other hand, if you have already crafted some great messages that are full of helpful information with links, or personal insights as well as learning points, you are headed down the path to rich relationships and a profitable business. But . . . there is just one problem! No one is reading your emails.
WHAT? OK, I am having a little fun with you to make a point. Perhaps some people read your email messages, but many of your subscribers don’t. WHY?
We live in a busy society and most people have friends, family, colleagues, and bosses making demands on their time. Look at your own situation – how many email messages do you receive in a day? Which ones do you open? And . . . why?
As a business marketer, you need to figure out a way to capture the attention of your subscribers. For better or worse – the only way to do that with email is via the subject line. That is your door opener!
What kinds of email subject lines grab your attention?
The best way to find out what works well for your brand and your list is to try them out and look at the statistics. Most email responders allow you to split-test a message.
This is a fairly simple process. Create two messages which are exactly the same, but with different subject lines. Then, you send out the message to your list 50/50 and review the results.
The next point will cover some simple, yet effective subject line strategies you can use in your business. Stay tuned!
